PROUDLY PRESENT

The band formed in the West London Ladbroke Grove squatter community in 1974. They performed at the Watchfield free festival in August 1975. In 1977 Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth recruited the band to tour with them under the name Planet Gong, and this combination released a live album Floating Anarchy 1977.

The band toured extensively in 1980 and 1981 living on their converted bus. This included the free summer festivals of Deeply Vale, Stonehenge and Glastonbury. The hallmark of the gigs was that they were always free entrance and funds were helped with a collection.

In 2009 a new line-up was announced: Gwyo ZePix, Slim Verhoef, Nik Nimbus and Keith the Bass. In 2011 Mark Robson of Kangaroo Moon and Magick Brothers took the helm of Keyboards and Vocals.

In the late 1980's Robert Calvert asked if we'd record his next album with him.

Sadly, Robert died before any recording took place.

20 years later we were asked to perform at a tribute concert in Bob's memory. Our new CD "The Flame Red Superstar" is 13 Robert Calvert songs injected with all the ideas we would have taken to the sessions with Bob, and if the number of strange co-incidences during recording are an indication, this was always meant to happen...

Zetan Spore were formed in West Cornwall by Ian Hasdell in 1995. After being inspired by psychedelic rock in the late 80's and it's evolution into early dance acts such as Eat Static and Astralasia, and then by the birth of psytrance in the 90's, Ian bought a second hand Amiga 1200 computer and started arranging samples to form his own style of psychedelic dance music. After releasing his first album, "Alien Frequencies" in 1996 his twin brother Mark came on board, playing guitar and didgeridoo.

Together they brought out the next Zetan Spore album, "Visitation" in 1997 and were signed to Aardvark Records, where they have released another eight albums: "The Pillars of Creation" (1998), "Subspace Distortions" (1999), "Outer Space Hopper Safari" (2001), "Transwarp Audio Head Drive" (2002), "Burn Up" (2004), "Escape Velocity" (2005), "Flux" (2007) and for 2010, "Tribes of the Stars".

FLUTATIOUS came together after an inspiring trip to the Isle of Skye. The scenery and relaxed vibe inspired Michelle, Bill, Andy and Stella to put a new band together.
Malcolm came in on drums and then the band met the talented Mr Williams and were immediately knocked out with his jazzy vibes. 2008 saw the band finish their self-produced first album which has been selling out at every gig and was ...named as ‘demo of the week’ on Celtic Music Radio as well as receiving countless plays here and abroad on internet stations.

The band also had the pleasure of playing Small World, Eden, Cornbury, Hawkfest, Solfest and Weyfest and are playing to ever increasing audiences in their native northwest London.

Litmus ARE spacerock for the 21st century. Throbbing bass, pounding drums, searing guitar, swirling keyboards and screeching electronics, they are here to open heads and recalibrate minds.

Litmus have supported Astra, Witchcraft, Hawkwind, Space Ritual, the Ozric Tentacles and Arthur (The God of Hellfire) Brown. In January 2005 they were the tour support for Julian Cope. They played 2002 and 2003's Hawkwind's Hawkfest festivals.

Their debut CD "You Are Here" was released on Space Music and the band's second CD "Planetfall" was released on Rise Above Records in April 2007. The third album "Aurora" was released in August 2009.

A massively powerful live presence, Litmus need to be seen to be believed!

ELECTRIC MOON came into existence in 2010. A new project with cosmic traveller Sula Bassana as the driving force.

Bassist Komet Lulu, illustrator on top of that and responsible for corporate design and artwork is aboard as well as Alex on drums.

In 2010 they worked out their debut 'Lunatics', released on German Nasoni label and consisting of long spacey trips in the vein of earlier output with Sula Bassana involved, energetic and hypnotic as is well known, however this time with the focus on a more groovy and acid approach.

Whimwise is a unique act. Building from an electronic rock based core sound, combined with acoustic/orchestral instrumentalists and all set off against the celtic ambient moodscapes of Mexican world-music vocalist , Alquimia, they defy categorization.
Gloriously flying in the face of fashion and blinkered generic straitjackets, this collective of artists just about runs the gamut of all known st...yles , blending merging and diverging various genres and musical approaches - and probably inventing a few new ones along the way. Orchestral, space rock, avant gard, electronic, celtic, experimental, jazz, world music influences - they've all being sprinkled into the resulting brew , creating something quite new.

A fusion and a melting pot - Whimwise pride themselves on being unclassifiable!

The musical and cultural millipede that is the Invisible Opera Company of Tibet, according to hippy mythology was originally born in a Parisian Café on Easter Sunday 1966, but that's only the beginning of the story...

...It is said that they had been residing in a distant Himalayan retreat awaiting the arrival of alien intelligence from distant stars and planets (well, any intelligence at all for that matter).

<<NUKLI>> are veterans of the golden age of free festivals. A time when bands were free to experiment with long flowing improvisations, developing a sound matching the state of the audience!

They started as space-punk band PSi seen on many stages at the Stonehenge festival, mutating over the years into PSi NUKLI and then NUKLI. NUKLI established themselves as firm favourites on the psychedelic circuit, appearing many times at Club Dog and the Sonic Relief gigs,as well as playing at many a squat party and benefit gig. The band took a sabbatical throughout the nineties.

Now NUKLI are back and sounding even better. With full-on psychedelic grooves, and soaring guitar, they take you on a trip to the Pyramid Stage, the Tibetan's and Club Dog all rolled into one cosmic jam.

DEVIANT AMPS are a 3-piece, original, indie psychedelic rock band who have been slowly building up a good live reputation. They came together as a three piece in the spring of 2006 and released their second album, "Magic Carpet Ride" in 2011.

2012 marks 30 years since Woodbine hit the road with the Amps. It has been a long strange trip to get to the Amps of today and many more adventures in sound are hopefully in the future....... They hope to record another album in 2012. They will be playing the entire Magic Carpet Ride album at some special gigs this year....watch this space!

GREEN RITUAL
Originally featuring Nik Turner and the late Judge Trev and strictly no rehearsals.

These guys capture the pure excitement of 70s space rock and adopted the name Green Ritual as a festival only jamming band the only qualification is they have all studied and performed with the original 'masters'.

More than just a covers band ,clearly the next generation or childern of the sun

A spacey, punky festival kinda feel. Or Autumn morning mushroom music.

Think how it goes is steve had got restless after not picking his guitar up for almost twenty years and wanted to get a band together. Jewls and Steve had known Darren a few years and knew he had a drum kit in the chicken shed that he used to bash in but the chickens took over.Steve asked him if he was interested in taking it back up because he had been messing about at home with some electro pads. That was guitar, drums and sax sorted. Finding a bassist was a bit harder. Steve had been introduced to Paul by Jewls who had known him for years. A while passed and Steve was getting down about the bass issue. After sneaking away to watch football with Paul they chatted about music. Steve persuaded Paul to get a synth. After a rethink Jewls took up bass and PanDemonIum was hatched in 2006.

Since forming at the end of 2010, Glowpeople seems to be continuing its largely unpredictable and improvisational direction. New grooves just seem to happen. We don't really work to a genre or any self imposed style restrictions. The songs just come out as they come out, really. It's almost as if independent of what we the mere muzos might have had planned for them!

As is typical of many bands of our part of the world, the individuals found each other by happy accident than design. Each has plenty of past musical adventures and experiences to draw upon. Some hailing from the hills about the Welsh border, others found lurking elsewhere in the West Midlands. We all come with plenty of influences and attitudes to bring to what is fast becoming the eclectic mish-mash of psychedelic jazzy dub funk genres that is Glow.

That Legendary Wooden Lion formed in 2007 but it's roots go way way back into the 70s.

The Original Wooden Lion played the free festivals from Windsor to Watchfield as well as many other free performances in parks around East London. Lead singer Roy Weard went on to sing with Dogwatch and Roy Weard and Last Post. In 2005 he met up with the bands original synth player the Cardinal Biggles and they decided to form a new band. They were joined by Steve Bensusan from the Last Post, bassist Chris Cottage and drummer Chris Mott.

They are recording a new album and playing shows around the UK.

From deepest darkest Somerset come the Chumley Warner Bros.

Fresh, seasonal and mind-boggling as the local farmhouse cider. Formed in 2008 AD, they fuse Guitar, EWI and Cabasa into a subtle blend of reactionary post-industrial alt-country (meaningless music journo pigeon-holing bullshit...blah blah) acoustic space punk music thing.

Hmmmm...

How many of you know a friend that has a band that you're sure is gonna be "the next big thing"?

That's kind of what we have here. Not so many bands could commend with always growing and improving catalogue and with three albums out of three, The Grand Astoria lands down the ground which not so many of them have walked before. This Russian band comes with prosperity and it's highly recommendable to listen to their masterfully threesome after having a successful day.

You might feel really delighted.

A genuine cult band, The Tribe of Cro are one of the unsung heroes of the underground festival scene. For over 15 years they have been waving their freak flag high to the sound of free festival psychedelics, driving krautrock rhythms, spacey liquid electronica soaked in a skip load of stoner riffing guitars. From the tops of mountains to the depths of Eastern Europe TOC have played many of the major underground and psychedelic festivals in UK and Europe.

Formed in 1995, they drew members from various alternative south coast bands, including Mandragora, The Great Imperial Yoyo, Giant Eyes, Wobble Jaggle Jiggle. An initial jam led to tours of Europe where the T.O.C. sound was honed. This was captured to great effect on albums such as 'Sporadic Spyrogyra', 'Hydroculture', 'Virtual Vinyl' and the latest ltd edition CD ' Mavacanto Flavourslime'.

Having gone through various metamorphoses, Xoo are an unsigned London-based rock act. They combine metal and rock infleunces, with space and progressive traditions, to create a potent new sound. They acknowledge their heritage, yet they are not retro. Their trademark sound is that of classic rock guitar, driving basslines and drumming, but layered with synth textures and electronic... patterns. Most recognisible is their rich, melodic, harmony vocal sound and catchy, memorable song writing.

Xoo have, since 2005, started to make a name for themselves on the fetsival and live venue scene, through their live performances and album 'Poison in the Name of Beauty'.

After a fabulously fun set at Kozfest 2011 with the Starfighters, Dani and Steve found themselves floating free but adrift in autumn 2011, with very few charts of the high seas but sufficent kit to make something of the situation. An inspired extremely spacey jam (Decoding The Senses) needed posting and it needed a name. So The Timelords of old were reborn on SoundAwesome as 2 very experienced but under-gigged musos just itching to get out on the road. Steve and Dani both handle guitar/synth/voice and with the addition of Sammy P and Sam H on bass and drums the sound has become a psychedelic punky rock and rollin space-out groove.(!)
An album is underway, and an edited version of the track "Rough Diamond" will be on the forthcoming "Allies & Clansmen" CD available from Omenopus

The Apache John Band is a fusion of acoustic folk, blues, rock and late 60's psychedelia. Sometimes theatrical, sometimes dark and moody, sometimes amusing; a band that carries the spirit of the festival with mainly original songs and music which can be played around a festival fire as easily as on any stage.

Following several line up changes, the current Apache John Band came together in March 2008.

Apache John & Amazon Jan felt the time was right to take the band on a new project using self penned songs which spanned four decades, called on their old friends Andi & Julia, who were more than happy to take up their current positions in the line up.
